PWI brings San Diego County employers together with adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. We support the person to do the job well and the employer to build a team that lasts.

A county where ability is expected at work.

We want more adults with disabilities to have real choices about paid employment. Our role is to remove barriers through preparation, placement, and ongoing support at no cost to the people we serve.

What we believe

Every adult has strengths that belong in a workplace. A disability may change how a task is done, but it does not remove the desire to contribute, to earn, or to be part of a team. Our job is to find the setting where those strengths can show.

We also believe that support should be honest. Families deserve straight answers. Employers deserve clear expectations. People who use our services deserve to make their own decisions, including the decision to try something new.
