Independent Living Skills

Do you want to develop more life skills to improve the quality of your life? We offer FREE programs and services to help you acquire living skills to help you achieve a more independent and successful life.

Partnerships With Industry’s Independent Living Skills (ILS) program consists of one-on-one sessions with a ILS Specialist that are personalized to your needs. We’ll work with you to teach you how to shop for food in your local grocery store, learn how to prepare healthy, nutritious meals, how to access public transportation near your home, learn about local resources available to you such as public libraries and various activities at local community centers and how to advocate for yourself and address your needs.

Topics addressed include the following:
  • Banking
  • Public Transportation
  • Cooking
  • Budgeting
  • Nutrition
  • Self-Advocacy
  • Shopping
  • Medical appointments
  • Parenting Skills

  • And more!
